Birmingham University Islamic Society in conjuction with ISSM would like to humbly present:
On the Day of Resurrection, only those who come to Allah with a healthy heart will be saved. Allah says: "The day on which neither wealth nor sons will be of any use, except for whoever brings to Allah a sound heart. (26:88-89)"
The heart is that part of the part of the body which if spiritually sick, will detrimentally affect the rest of the body. The University is a place of temptations and tests, which will either lead to one’s destruction of the Iman or one’s increase in piety as a result of resisting the temptations.
Hudhayfa ibn al-Yamani, Radhiallah’anhu narrates that theThe Messenger of Allah Sallalahu Alayhi Wassalam has said, "Temptations are presented to the heart, one by one. Any heart that accepts them will be left with a black stain, but any heart that rejects them will be left with a mark of purity, so that hearts are of two types: a dark heart that has turned away and become like an overturned vessel, and a pure heart that will never be harmed by temptation for as long as the earth and the heavens exist. The dark heart only recognises good and denounces evil when this suits its desires and whims." (Muslim)
Thus with this in mind, we have the honour of having the renowned Mufti from Leicester, Muhammad Ibn Adam Al-Kawthari, as well Hafidh Mohammed Aslam from Birmingham to give insight on this matter which will Insha'Allah lead to the Purification of the Heart.
The event is open to both brothers and sisters.
